Finding new (old) treasures in the attic.

Well, the last two days have been an eye-opener as to how much stuff there can be in an attic. Things that one would never think to be up there that just naturally are, especially when the attic is at the Dixon Public Library. This is a library that was started at another building called the Dixon Hose Company which at the time was the fire department. All you had to do was donate a book and you could become a library patron. It looks like all those many years ago, they kept each and every one of those donations. Stay tuned, in the coming months there will be more offerings of more bound and unbound magazines and so forth from the mid-1800's and later.
